Five tips to stay motivated with your Pilates practice all year long.

1. Set a goal. What do you want to get from Pilates this year? Improve posture? Stronger abs? Increased body awareness? Better endurance for your next triathlon? Know exactly what you want and go get it!

2. Create a schedule. Start with two to three classes a week the first three months of the year and then add one more class if that works for you to keep your goal on track.

3. Increase the value of workout. The power of private lessons can make this possible by guiding you to understand how the body moves, how muscles engage, and how to breathe properly among so many other things. But take that private and find out for yourself!

4. Pay in advance for a full year of Pilates: private or group sessions. This will not only help you stay committed but also save you a few hundred bucks. Who wouldn’t be motivated by that?!
5. Visualize (every day if you really want to stay focused) how that Pilates practice is going to make you FEEL:  less back pain, increased mobility, more time with the family, better posture, more happiness, more confidence, better sex . . .
